NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Phase II
This course is for those who have already completed the online portion of the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting (Phase I). Phase II is the hands on, range portion of the NRA's Basics of Pistol Shooting. The course outline consists of firearm safety, range safety, fundamentals of shooting, loading, unloading, pistol maintenance, shooting positions, and the shooting qualification. This is an adult course requiring no previous shooting experience.
LTC a Handgun Course
This is the course required to apply for your State of Texas License to Carry a Handgun. This course is divided into two parts. The first part is the classroom portion (4 to 6 hours) and the second part is the shooting qualification. The classroom portion is divided into four parts, which include laws that relate to weapons and the use of deadly force, handgun use and safety, non-violent dispute resolution, and proper storage practices for handguns.
You will learn and develop the essential foundation skills for lifelong practice and mastery of the Authentic Pekiti Tirsia Kali System, one of the most effective methods of whole body physical fitness, and cognitive and instinctive mental skills development and conditioning. You will acquire a complete personal protection system with knowledge of safety and security practices, procedures, techniques, and effective skills with edged or impact weapons, empty hands and the ability to use any improvised weapons of opportunity. You will develop effective skills with three principle weapon systems: the long edged/impact weapon, the knife or short edged/impact weapon, and the hand blade system of empty hands.
The Integrated Concealed Carry Weapons course gives you a complete personal protection system with knowledge of safety and security practices, procedures, techniques, and effective skills with carry and employment of the handgun, edged and impact weapons, empty hands, and the ability to use everyday common items as an improvised weapon of opportunity for personal protection of yourself, your family, and others.
